Geee
Cathay Pacific is the first airlines that I think of when customer ask for tickets to everywhere in the world.then Emirates, Thai Airways and China Air (are the most) good choice ja, but meanwhile you should consider Etihad too. For me Cathay is the best as it is one of the only airlines who has multicultural staff.

Hugo
1 confirmed death in Bangkok Airways crash Writer: BangkokPost.com Published: 4/08/2009 at 03:16 PM A Bangkok Airways plane skidded off the runway and crashed at Samui airport on Tuesday afternoon, killing a pilot and injuring six other people. Flight PG 266 crashed in severe weather on arriving at the resort island in Surat Thani about 2pm from Krabi province. The plane reportedly skidded off the runway and collided with an old control tower as the captain attemped to land at Samui airport. President of Bangkok Airways Capt Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth said at a press conference at 5pm that the ATR-72 500 series with 70 seats carried 68 passengers, two pilots and two flight attendants. All of the passengers were foreigners from countries including Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Israel. The accident killed the pilot and injured six people, four of them seriously. Those in critical condition were taken to Bangkok Samui Hospital. Two others with minor injuries were delivered to the Thai Inter Hospital, he said. The other passengers were taken to their hotels. Capt Puttipong did not pinpoint the cause of the crash. The airline has taken an investigation team from the Department of Aviation to the accident site at Samui airport. He said the dead pilot, Pilot Officer Chartchai Pansuwan, was very experienced. He had worked for the company for 19 years, and had flown this model aircraft for 14 years. After the crash, Thai Airways International cancelled two flights to Samui, TG 287 and TG 288, leaving more than 200 passengers stranded at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Samui airport was closed after the accident. Initial reportson local television stations said up to 10 people had died in the crash, but the figure was rapidly reduced during the afternoon. For information on the names of passengers on board the flight and their condition, call Bangkok Airways Hotline at 02-265-8777 or 1771.
Admin_2
Well, I'm glad that the number of deaths was cut down 90%. But how do you screw something like that up? The number of reported/confirmed deaths should rise...not fall!
R.Win
my first intercontinental flight was from Amsterdam to New Ark with Continental, it was economy class but the seats were more like business class, I liked the crew because they had an attitude, they were polite but if someone got rude they knew how to handle it WITHOUT a fake smile. The movies etc. were plenty GOOD it was all DAMN GOOD! ...however, from NewArk to Miami was HORRIBLE, the seats were narrow and my knees were parked against the seat in front of me ...just like Finair always is. Cathay on my first 2 visits to Thailand was great, not better than Continental on the intercontinental flights but MUCH better on short flights. All the others were crap, I choose others though because Cathay seems to have tripled its price, no matter when I wished to fly. Egypt Air's seats are ok but there is no entertainment whatsoever and the Cairo airport is a nightmare, my worst 3 airport experiences so far. I guess that for me Continental is the best for economy class intercontinental fights so far
amarone
Worst I'd ever flown was asmallMexican Airline from Mexico cty to a small City port so sign on a ship in 1972 - it was an old Donald Duck - DC3 from WW2Best ever flown a couple of time from Copenhagen to SIngapore and CPH to Sidney in 1982 and 1983 In the 21st century: Worst KLM/Air France to Thailand, and not the best but a good one SAS=Scandinavian Airline System to BKK non-stop Doesn't matter what airline U use, because U get what U pay for Monkey-class, U survive even 13 hrs nonstop in air Monkeyclass extra better seat(8 cm wider) - more leglength (10cm) and survive Business Low for those Airlines who have both 2 classes of Business Class, Seat as Monky extra - but better food and drinks while waiting and gen better service Business class - First class, well You make a huge grab into Your wallet for the fare. So it all depend on how much You pay in fare - the more Youpay the better service; seats and meals You will get Now people are ok with paying 100usd for a cab to the airport but not ok with paying 200 for airfare. I agree you get what you pay for
