zeusbheld
ps compare and contrast: Busby: "Winning isn't everything. There should be no conceit in victory and no despair in defeat." Fergie: ?I am unhappy, because (the defensive errors) spoiled a really emphatic victory. We could have won 6-0 or 7-0 today, and the fact we made those mistakes made it probably the best derby game of all time. You?re left pondering what you?d rather have; win 6-0 or win the greatest derby game of all time. I?d rather win 6-0!? It's a different game now - it's a business! Of course he wants to win 6-0, because that goal difference could be the difference between a trophy or nothing. And winning brings in the money to pay for the huge loans the club has. yeah but that's beside the point (and it was a business then too, just not anywhere near as big). it isn't a question of ruthlessness--that's a plus in a manager--it's a question of manners. and knowing when to keep one's mouth shut. Fergie consistently says obnoxious and uncalled for things, gloats when he wins, sulks and makes excuses if he loses, etc. etc. the man has delivered the goods over the years, but the way he presents himself is cartoonishly loathsome, like some pro wrestling "bad guy" almost. that said, he may be an a**hole, but he's the a**hole who filled your trophy cabinet and you're contractually obligated to love him. fwiw my favorite a**hole is nearly as loathsome (and has gotten some brilliant results in his own right): Luis van Gaal. Truth be known, it was a great derby - 7 goals and dramatic scenes. Man U deserved to win - they played a great game and fought hard to get the three points. agree. most goals for both sides came from schoolboy errors, but the way United attacked throughout the second half deserved--and got--a result. City, on the other hand, seemed content in the second half to play for a point until they were down a goal. there were times in the second half when United didn't leave 'em much choice, but there were also plenty of times City could have pushed forward and sat back. Tawan Dang 2 is at the end of the Chalon Rat Expressway at Ram Inthra road - a long hike but great atmosphere and I have not been there for a while. Is Pickled Liver code for Ciaran's place? Soi 11 is a bit closer but Tawan Dang 2 is one of the few indoor places you can watch a game with a huge crowd. Stramash
Adebayor fined two hour?s wages for acting like a despicable **** Manchester City?s multi-millionaire Emmanuel Adebayor has been fined two-hour?s wages following his ?act like an unspeakable ****? celebration against Arsenal. He ran the length of the field to slowly rub his flaccid genitals in the stunned faces of every fan of his former club after scoring in City?s 4-2 victory at Eastlands. An FA hearing yesterday decided that - since he had apologised - a suitable punishment would be to fine him everything he earned between 10am and lunchtime on Wednesday of this week. ?We feel this is a very severe punishment, and will make him think twice before acting like a complete **** in the future.? said a Football Association spokesperson. ?We are confident those two hours spent kicking a ball around this week to pay his fine will have preyed extremely heavily on his conscience.? ?We have also given him a suspended two match ban, which will be invoked the moment he so much as dangles a testicle in the general direction of north London before next Christmas.? Adequate Adebayor reacted with ambivalence to the fine, ?Iz not so bad, I found ze right amount down ze back of ze sofa,? ?And come January 2010 I can again begin my one man campaign of cock waving against ze Arsenal fans.? Manchester City manager Mark Hughes was delighted at the punishment, ?It?s great to have Emmanuel back, as Craig Bellamy had been doing all the odious bastard work on up front on his own, but now we can spread the workload around a bit.? ?We?re extremely lucky to have a player as thoroughly unpleasant as Manu, and it?s great to have him available again.? Not everyone was pleased at the FA announcement, an Arsenal fans spokesperson said fans were unhappy with the punishment, ?We?re disappointed, of course.? ?I work in Tesco, and it?s the equivalent of me being fined £10.80 for slapping a noisy shopper with my cock and being told not to do it again for just over a year.? Stramash
Arsenal 6 - 2 Blackburn   :thumbleft: have to say; best attacking display from Arsenal since the days of the invincibles. But, still looking frail at the back, esp when Clichy, Sagna and Vermaelen push forward. I still think it may be Chelski's year; they looked smooth against Liverpool, but feel that with a little tweaking we could be challenging. Back to the same old arguments; we know there is money to spend now, and I still think we need a better keeper and another world class defender. I still think we need a strong holding midfielder (Song often shows his inexperience) but would settle for Wenger filling the 2 crucial spots. Is it because Wenger has a degree in economics that he is so hesitant to spend mid recession? Rosicky is getting back to full fitness and form, was good to see Theo back and scoring on his season debut, and the fact that the 6 goals were scored by 6 different players can only be a good thing. After losses to the Manchester 2, think the first games against Liverpool and Chelski will be crucial to the entire season, not just from a points perspective, but also the bad morale that may result if we lost to the other 4 big teams. Humble
If that tosser Drogba could stay on his feet long enough to stop claiming fouls every time he loses the ball, Chelsea. Man U are without a Dodgy Claimer course since Ronaldo dumped em, Scholes is a liability, Giggs is their best option an' giv-it-ere-I'll-ave-a-go-runnin-in-off-the-left-wing Rooney's just a moody f*ck. 'pool's too honest and hardworking, and need to take on some of Chelsea's more "sporting" attributes to top that last rung. City could get there, but I doubt with Hughes. He's living on borrowed time atop a wad-o-cash and he knows it. Soon to be recent history. Pound for pound, best ACTUAL FOOTBALL PLAYING side is Liverpool.
